
Quick Dinner Playbook
Zero-fuss dinners we rotate on tired nights. Each one uses ~5–7 ingredients and 20–30 minutes (or hands-off).
Sheet-Pan Chicken + Veg (25–30 min)
You need: chicken thighs, broccoli or green beans, carrots, olive oil, salt/pepper, garlic powder.
Do this: Heat oven 425°F. Toss veg + oil + season. Spread on sheet; nestle chicken; season. Roast 25–30 min.
Make it easier: line pan with parchment; add microwave rice.
Taco Bar (15–20 min)
You need: ground turkey/beef, taco seasoning, tortillas, salsa, avocado, cheese.
Do this: Brown meat + seasoning. Warm tortillas. Set out toppings.
Variations: rice bowls; add canned corn/beans.
Loaded Quesadillas (10 min)
You need: tortillas, shredded cheese, leftover chicken/beans, salsa.
Do this: Skillet medium, tortilla + fillings + tortilla; 2–3 min/side. Cut wedges.
15-Minute Pasta + Salad
You need: pasta, jarred sauce, frozen meatballs (optional), bagged salad.
Do this: Boil pasta; warm sauce (+ meatballs). Toss salad.
Breakfast-for-Dinner (10–15 min)
You need: eggs, toast/tortillas, fruit/yogurt.
Do this: Scramble eggs; serve with toast + fruit.
Add-ons: sautéed peppers/onions; cheese.
Rotisserie Remix (5–10 min)
You need: store rotisserie chicken, microwave rice, frozen veg, teriyaki or salsa.
Do this: Shred chicken; heat rice + veg; toss with sauce → rice bowls/wraps.
Soup + Grilled Cheese (10–15 min)
You need: boxed tomato soup, bread, cheese, butter.
Do this: Heat soup; make sandwiches in skillet.
Instant Rice Bowls (10 min)
You need: microwave rice, frozen stir-fry veg, eggs or leftover meat, soy/teriyaki.
Do this: Heat veg + rice; top with fried egg or leftover protein.
Slow-Cooker Salsa Chicken (hands-off)
You need: chicken breasts, jar salsa, taco seasoning.
Do this (AM): Dump all; low 6–7h or high 3–4h. Shred.
Serve: tacos, nachos, quesadillas, rice bowls.
No-Cook Graze Board (5 min)
Crackers, cheese, hummus, nuts, cut fruit/veg. Everyone builds a plate—done.
